When water finds its way through concrete foundations, either because of cracks or an inadequate drainage system, additional waterproofing measures are necessary. Cue Emecole Metro, the newest addition to the Metropolitan Industries family!
Founded as Emecole, Inc. in 1987, the company was a pioneer in the development of a more efficient and affordable solution for the repair of poured foundation cracks in residential basements. With Emecole’s spring-assisted manual dispensing gun and its line of original two-component injection epoxies and polyurethanes, the low pressure injection process would soon become the new industry standard for repairing cracks in poured basement walls by contractors and homeowners throughout the United States and Canada. The company’s continued growth resulted in the launching of additional products that extended its reach as a concrete crack repair product manufacturer to a one-stop shop for foundation structural stabilization, basement waterproofing and crawl space encapsulation.
In September, 2016, Emecole was acquired by Metropolitan Industries. Today, now known as Emecole Metro, the company continues to operate with its same dedicated staff and production capabilities, while allowing both companies to now cross-promote each other’s products to territories and markets covered by the other. Emecole Metro’s vast product offering can be used for repairing cracks and various seepage problems occurring in a variety of plumbing and mechanical applications, including concrete lift stations, elevator pits, housed systems, below-grade mechanical rooms, etc.
